#songbender part 29 – LTJ Bukem feat. DRS – Constellations
yeah well. i know too well it’s been long. and i didn’t want it for to be this long but things just happened. and i had so many ideas on what to do next, as i’m still holding back on the big ones – though when i think about it, it’s gonna be like, well, you shoulda put the big guns earlier yo.
but whatever.
this is from Earth 3.
and that is a magical album. really.
but this first song always stuck with me. I mean i can get it, DRS is being top notch here, and him being British (as far as my googling goes, or went, like years ago, who knows), this is really a great ass song.
right off the bat, you want to know my favorite part? well that fkin bell sound that sounds like a tram car or something gone by in the 30s or something. that is absolutely brilliant, as a musical idea, as an effect, as anything. that is just mindblowingly good.
but this whole thing. the message, the performance, the thing. in all. you either get this, or you don’t. how jazzy is that keyboard piece? especially when they let it out, and even plays a little solo?
i mean, this may not get up to billie eilish heights, pffff, omg, ok, like it’s fair to compare this to any pop shit, but really.
this is just beautiful, and let me just give you the opportunity to hear this, if you haven’t done it so far. it’s worth it. trust me.
i don’t know if the link’s gonna work, my man LTJ probably has something against the music industry that is even more hostile than myself, so it’s kinda hard to link this, but i’ll try.
